About AiCube
AiCube is an unreleased home appliance for self-hosted family photo backup, currently in development. We are accepting refundable reservations only — no product has shipped to any customer. Founder pricing is $349 (versus $399 at general retail launch); planned ship window is Q3 2026.
Reservation terms
- A $50 deposit holds your spot in the reservation queue.
- Your deposit is fully refundable at any time before your AiCube ships, for any reason or no reason.
- If we miss our shipping window, change the product materially, or cancel the product, we refund your deposit automatically — you do not need to ask.
- If we ship and you accept delivery, the $50 applies to your $349 founder pricing total ($299 remaining due at ship).
- Founder pricing applies to the first reservation cohort; subsequent buyers may pay the standard retail price.
What you are committing to
Nothing, until your unit ships and you accept delivery.
A reservation is not a purchase contract. Pricing, specifications, and ship date are estimates and may change before launch. We will email you any material change before charging or shipping.
What we are committing to
- We will not charge your card beyond the $50 deposit until your unit ships and you confirm shipping.
- We will email you 30 days before ship date with your final unit configuration, remaining cost, and shipping address confirmation.
- 30-day money-back guarantee from the moment your unit ships, for any reason.
- 3-year hardware warranty on shipped units; full warranty terms ship with the product.
Open-source software
AiCube ships with Immich preinstalled, unmodified, under its AGPL-3.0 license. Your photo library remains yours: you can extract it and run it on any other Immich-compatible hardware at any time. We will publish the AGPL source corresponding to the version we ship, plus our build configuration.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Our total liability for any product defect, data loss, or service interruption is limited to a refund of amounts you paid us.
- AiCube is consumer hardware sold as-is after the 30-day return window and 3-year warranty period.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — for example, loss of data if you delete a cloud backup before transfer is complete.
- You remain responsible for your own backup strategy. We recommend keeping at least one additional copy of irreplaceable photos until you confirm successful migration to AiCube.
Acceptable use
The reservation system is for personal, household use. Bulk-reservation, resale, or scalping is not permitted. We reserve the right to cancel and refund reservations that appear to be made in bad faith or to circumvent the founder-pricing limit.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in Delaware state or federal court, except where applicable consumer-protection law guarantees you the right to your home jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date and emailed to active reservation holders at least 14 days before they take effect. If you disagree with a material change, you can request a full deposit refund within that 14-day window.
